Summer Service Tasks

Now that we’re in the middle of the sweltering Houston, TX summer, you’re likely planning your road trips and beach outings and using your air conditioner as much as possible. If you want to avoid a breakdown in the summer heat, it’s highly recommended that you take care of all the necessary service in your Maserati car.

Oil Changes

Oil changes are important no matter the time of year. If you’re using synthetic oil, like you should with a high-performing Maserati car, then the recommended oil change interval is 7,500 miles. If you neglect regular oil changes, performance and efficiency will suffer.

Coolant Check

The coolant in your vehicle’s radiator works extra hard in the summer. In addition to keeping your car from overheating, the coolant also guards against corrosion and lubricates your water pump. We’ll make sure your car has enough coolant to beat the heat.

Battery Test

Summer can be even harder on a car’s battery than winter. In order to avoid a dead battery on a hot summer afternoon, bring your car in for an inspection.

Air Conditioner Check

Driving around Houston with a broken air conditioner can be miserable. Ask your mechanic to run a diagnostic test to ensure that you’re a/c has enough Freon.

Tire Inspection

Check the tread on your car’s tires. Roads that are slick with rain shorten stopping distance and impair your maneuverability. Generally, tires should be replaced when the tread reaches 3-4/32-inches.
